Campaigne de Russie, 1812: a collection of 30 hand coloured lithograph plates of the uniforms of the opposing armies.  de Moraine.  Paris, 1860.   A de luxe presentation of uniforms as a vignette of each of  the armies of France, Prussia, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland and others, that participated in the disastrous 1812 campaign, including two of personalities, Murat and Ney.  Each plate laid down on acid free cream art stock within a hand drawn silver line border.  The illustrations were originally published for a book of the Campaign.  Bound in a magnificent full green morocco with Italian marbled end papers, the spine with bands, the panels with gilt crowned eagles and crowned N, the front and rear covers with an elaborate inch wide gilt border with a crowned eagle at each corner and spread eagle on the centre front; t.e.g.  Complete with matching slipcase, 10 1/2 x 13 inches.  MINT.
