Rare Sailor’s Anchor Charm of Admiral Nelson, c.1800-1805.  These extremely rare charms were purchased by sailors who would wear them around their necks as a token of respect and admiration of Nelson and date from his lifetime.  Examples can sometimes be seen in museums.  Made of gilt brass, the anchor hangs from a suspension ring and frames a handsome medal of the Admiral in profile on both sides.  It is 6 inches long and 3 1/4 inches diameter.
