Lord Nelson BILSTON Cloak Hooks or Curtain Tiebacks, c.1800.  Extremely rare and a collector’s dream, these Bilston enamel ‘Pulls’ were seen as a Patriotic addition to the home.  Two are based on a contemporary portrait of Nelson by Daniel Orme, the third, Britannia on the Sea, was a reflection of British Naval might.  There is some pitting to the brass rim of one pull and Britannia shows an impact crazing mark (see The Nelson Companion pp90).  2 inches dia., and 2 1/8 inches long.  Very Rare.
